Is there anything better than an afternoon spent catching up over sandwiches, homemade cakes and a freshly poured cup of tea?
We don't think so.
Afternoon Tea at The Boars Head is the perfect excuse to slow things down, get your favourite people together and enjoy a couple of hours of good food and even better company.
And at £26 per person, there's plenty to tuck into.
So, What's on the Stand?
Let's start with the sandwiches.
Our Afternoon Tea includes a selection served on white and wholemeal bread, with fillings including Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese, Honey-roast Ham & Red Tomato Chutney, Free Range Egg Mayo & Watercress and Mature Cheddar & Red Onion.
But we don't stop at sandwiches.
You'll also find our homemade savouries, including Pesto, Mascarpone & Cherry Tomato Quiche and our Boars Head Sausage Roll.
Then comes arguably the most important bit…
Save Room for Cake!
No Afternoon Tea would be complete without something sweet.
Enjoy a selection of homemade cakes and scones, served with cream and our house fruit preserves.
The only debate is whether the cream or preserve goes on the scone first.
We'll leave that one up to you!
Keep the Tea Coming
Afternoon Tea is made for long conversations, so there's no need to rush.
You'll have unlimited English Breakfast Tea and Filter Coffee for up to two hours, giving you plenty of time to work your way through the stand and catch up properly.
Speciality coffees are also available for a supplement.
Birthdays, Catch-Ups or Just Because…
You don't actually need a special occasion for Afternoon Tea.
But if you do have something to celebrate, it's a lovely choice for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day treats, family get-togethers or an afternoon with friends.
Equally, "we haven't seen each other in ages" is more than enough of a reason.
Afternoon Tea Near Ashbourne & Uttoxeter
If you're looking for Afternoon Tea near Ashbourne, Uttoxeter or Sudbury, come and spend the afternoon with us at The Boars Head.
Afternoon Tea is served in our Bar Area from Wednesday to Saturday, 2pm–5pm, and is available by reservation only.
Bookings need to be made at least 24 hours in advance, so gather your favourite people, pick a date and leave the baking to us.
