Arrive on Christmas Eve & Let the Festivities Begin
Your Christmas getaway begins on Christmas Eve, when you'll check into your en-suite room and settle in for three nights of festive relaxation.
And we don't waste any time getting Christmas started.
That evening, you'll enjoy a delicious three-course dinner, accompanied by the festive sounds of a local brass band.
Good food, a favourite tipple and Christmas music – all without having to cook a thing.
Christmas Day – The Main Event!
Wake up on Christmas morning knowing the only thing on your to-do list is to enjoy yourself.
We'll start you off with a hearty breakfast before it's time for the main event: our five-course Christmas Day dinner, served from 12pm.
Afterwards? Find a comfortable spot, relax by the open fire, enjoy a drink or perhaps sneak off for that all-important Christmas afternoon nap.
And just when you think you couldn't possibly eat again, our Christmas grazing station supper arrives from 7:30pm.
Well… it is Christmas.
A Relaxed Boxing Day
After another hearty breakfast, Boxing Day is yours to enjoy however you please.
Head out and explore, make the most of the Boxing Day sales, enjoy a winter walk or simply stay put and relax at the hotel.
Then join us again in the evening for a three-course Boxing Day dinner.
Still no cooking. Still no washing up. We could get used to this…
One Last Breakfast Before Home
After three nights with us, we'll send you on your way on 27th December – but not before one final breakfast.
From there, you can head home feeling relaxed, well-fed and hopefully wondering why you've spent so many years doing all the Christmas cooking yourself!
Make Christmas 2026 a Proper Getaway
Our Christmas break is perfect for couples, friends and families who want to do something a little different this year.
And with The Boars Head surrounded by beautiful countryside and conveniently located for Ashbourne, Uttoxeter, Sudbury and the wider Derbyshire and Staffordshire area, you can enjoy a proper Christmas escape without having to travel halfway across the country.
Our 2026 three-night Christmas break starts on Christmas Eve and runs through to 27th December.
